Awarded 2017 Scholarships

One Tribe Global is proud to support the children of our mountain community in a variety of ways. Scholarships give students an opportunity to be involved in a positive expression of their talents and interests. Recipients may have a change of perspective about themselves – they ARE worthy and deserving, and people DO care.

  • Vision Academy of the Arts (www.visionacademyofthearts.org). One Tribe Global has donated $250 for membership plus a separate contribution for two student scholarships in the Vision Academy’s summer camp program in which they participate in music, writing, art, and drama classes.

  • Golden Chain Theatre’s summer camp program for children (GCT Kids) (www.goldenchaintheatre.org). OTG has awarded $450 toward scholarships for summer studies for two students.

  • Mountain Crisis Services in Mariposa (www.mariposacrisisservices.org) received an equivalent donation from OTG of $500 as we sponsored special holiday gifts for two children in honor of Carolyn Lindquist. Two dolls and several handcrafted outfits made by Ms. Lindquist were awarded.

  • An award of $500 was given to the Madera County Sheriff’s Department Explorers (www.maderacounty.com/government/sheriff/explorers) for a fifteen-year-old student who has fully embraced the program and can now see a future for himself. The donation includes enrollment fee, equipment, and the 2018 summer program.
